Week two: So far so good – I have actually kept to my resolutions… I’m pleased that I have been eating extremely well for the last couple of weeks. I’ve also been taking my vitamin supplements daily, (my Orac 3000, my Vitagest, Multi Essentials and of course good old UltraClean EPA/DHA fish Oil!) – something I had neglected before.
People assume that because you work in the Fitness industry and look really healthy, that its easy – well let me tell you it ain’t! Some days I have to force myself to get to the gym – but afterwards I’m always glad that I did.
A resolution (whether it’s at New Year, or any time at all) needs to be clearly defined… and it needs to become a habit, it takes around 21 days for an activity to become a habit, that’s not too long, but it will take longer for it to become part of your Lifestyle – once you get to this stage – its so much easier, so persevere.
And hey, don’t be hard on yourself, reward yourself every time you reach a particular goal or achievement and don’t get obsessive about it, you don’t need to lose 6 kg’s in a week – around 1-2 kg’s is a healthy and sustainable weight loss goal.
Most of us want a good, healthy & balanced lifestyle, to get this we need to focus on
– Our Diet – what, when, how much – planning! Do you need help? – choose the right supplements.
– Our Exercise… the FITT principle
And….. Mind and Spirit – give yourself downtime – practice Yoga or Pilates, try to incorporate some meditation into your schedule – you’ll be amazed at the difference.
