Week one: Here it is…2011, we’ve made it!… now the question is what are we going to do with it? have you made a heap of New Year resolutions? Will you stick to them, or if so for how long?
Of course resolutions shouldn’t just be for New Year… but for life!
“Set your goals high and don’t stop till you get there” – Bo Jackson
This blog is about Health & Fitness – I’m going to talk about different issues and obstacles that people face in trying to achieve their health & fitness goals, and how to get over them, plus give you some motivational and funny quotes to start your week with, along with articles and reports on the latest research, videos to help and motivate you and of course lots & lots of tips!
In a recent survey it was found that around 50% of Australians would make a New Year resolution, but only 18% would succeed.
The good thing to come out of this is that the highest ‘theme’ of resolutions was Health – this may be related to the fact that 60% of Australians are considered overweight
My advice is to not make too many resolutions, lot of people get overwhelmed by putting too much pressure on themselves, they can’t cope so just stop. You need to set goals (short & long-term), you need to make them attainable, and you also need to reward yourself when you achieve them – and don’t forget,
